The last rankings round-up. The unfortunate things that are really fun and annoying is that they have to come to an unfortunate end. Way too many unfortunate things there, but for the gist of spitting at soccer it makes last week look like heaven’s sent. I am still trying to forget it and GW 37 just ended yesterday. too many negatives don’t equal a positive. That is why i am thankful that week 38 is finally here so we can move on from our woes and set the record straight with one more good week to go out on a top note. There is no need to be wordy with an intro this week, we have done this 37 times previous. To wax poetic would just not be my style as I like it short, sweet, brunette and with a great personality. Wait, we’re still talking about FPL players…right? So with out further adieu here are my views on the rankings for week 38. Good luck, it has been a pleasure bringing you fantasy output this year and I have one more post of usefulness this year. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
Now that the double match week is just about kaput, we can get on with brass tax. The blank week is the the thinking man’s week. Anyone can pick players with two fixtures and get luck. When supplies get limited it is where the rubber meets the road. With only 12 teams to choose players from and some of those negated by awful matchups, cough Swansea…cough cough West Brom. That leaves 10. 1 big FPL Indians to choose from. Transfers this week on an individual basis are tough. So if you planned ahead and have that appropriate chips that replaces your entire team for just one week, well now is the time to employ that bad boy. I wish I could say something more diplomatic and forthcoming about advise this week, but it is pretty obvious who you want. Just be smart and use a differential or three if at all possible. Here are the rankings for the FPL in week . Happy chipping, transferring or whatever mode of transportation you take to get to the endline this week. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
Oh the weather outside is FPL frightful. Dum, de dum delightful. The weather is definitely a blind pimple on the face of the FPL heading into this weekend’s slate of fixtures. Hell it is going to affect today’s Arsenal/City clash. So if and a big if that they do play rankings are the pivot point to a transfer strategy. Another week, another top 6 battle of dueling defenses. I hate it because the ownability of the Spurs and United players litter the FPL universe. No, you probably can’t sit them if you are rostering them, but you could brace yourself for a limited point return. As well as a smaller percentage of a return for a CS. Lots of mid to lower tabled teams face off against each other and I can see this as a week for teams to sure up their secondary and tertiary defenders. Look at Leicester’s pieces. Look at Newcastle. Look at Stoke. A few others plus those three have intrinsic value this week and for the next handful of fixtures. The prices on their most ownable commodities are basically minimal, but so is the expectations of fixture returns. They aren’t startable every week over the top 4-5 defensive teams but good to have in a pinch when roster’s start to blank, double and tougher clubs face off against each other. So without much further hoopla here are the rankings for Keepers and Defenders for the FPL week of 25. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
As good as the offensive big wigs look this week, and we will get to them tomorrow. The stoutest of the stout, the purveyors of the clean, the dukes of denial are looking very good this week. As I stated yesterday the cream is definitely separating themselves from the rest of the field and that doesn’t change on the defensive end of the ball either. With great match-ups on paper for the better defensive teams, like City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and United the rankings this week will be littered with the likes of those teams integral players. Better teams better chances for CS results as a probability scale dictates usually. Don’t get me wrong gambling is good when you don’t have the funds to be a defensive laden team with assets from the top 6 team all at your disposal. This unfortunately isn’t the case in salary capped leagues where funds become limited, so i will mix in some of my favorite low investment players into the rankings here and there, but for the most part it takes money to earn the CS points this week. Here are the week 24 FPL keeps and defender rankings. Good luck and Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
are more of the subtle yet deadly variety. Why? Because of the elite fixture that lies ahead this weekend between Liverpool and City. It is tough to have tons of faith in two teams that are both FPL stalwarts like they are. They basically neutralize each other on both ends of the pitch. Liverpool has the best home defense is the league, and City just score anywhere. City are a top 5 defensive team on the road and Liverpool score more at home. It is like one hand washing the other this week. All are still startable options this week as the money, ownership and transfer fees associated with making a one week move based on match-up just doesn’t make too much sense to this guy. So be heady this week, don’t compound the DGW fiasco from last game week and make it worse and bury yourself further down the well. So happy transferring this week and enjoy the next two weeks of transfer rumors. Here are the week 23 rankings for the FPL. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
The beloved clean sheet. Coveted by all, ascertained by so few. It is an allusive beast that lures you in with great match-ups and decent form and leaves you sobbing after relying on Bournemouth or Stoke. I wish there was so anger algorithm for how late teams concede and complete take a poop on your fantasy week. fear not though, last week’s misery is this week’s hope. As we head down the December trail of busy fixtures hunting points and lots of them. The differentials and good run of fixtures are there for keepers and defense and week 16 is the beginning of some good runs, and unfortunately the end of some others. So shift your funds around, get some in-form players and head in to the week with confidence knowing that what you have is the best you can do. This pep talk is over, so here are the week 16 rankings for the FPL for keepers and defense. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
Rankings make the world go round. They dictate the flow and structure for almost every fantasy sport…except the direct ramifications of the official game. Rankings are great but when the relate to the beautiful game of footie they don’t always translate completely because of the limits that exist in with the transfers system in place. I get it, I type this stuff every week and it is to be used as a guide for just what I said, gauging transfers. These ranks are all based on match-ups, form and a whole bunch of common sense. Mixed with a little of nonsense that spews from my cranium. FPL rankings are hard because line-ups lock an hour before the first game kicks off so the exact science of this is strictly guess work, and now that the 11 teams that played midweek in the Carabao Cup have played we can get a more ideal look at the possibilities that will exist in the realm of fantasy FPL for Week 10. So enjoy the ranks, use them, trade them with your friends (if you have any) and best of luck. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
When it comes to solidifying your team and using differentials it starts at the back. Just look at the ownership of the United defenders, who are the best defense in the Premier, yet no defender is owned in over 10% of leagues. Diversity used to be an old, old wooden ship now it is your best friend. Pick two good match-up based defenders with flair regardless of price and fill in the other three slots spending no more than 14.0m. That strategy seems to be the best thing I can think of. Like I said the differentials are there you just have to find the crucial key pieces and go from there. It’s like doing an actual puzzle, find the border pieces and work your way in. Simple. At the ned if the day you will see the big picture. Week 9 is upon us and it has some UCL rotation risks so be wary of the news later in the week from the managers and always use common sense when bringing and dumping a player. best of luck and here are the Wweek 9 rakings for keepers and defenders. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
Listen I get that the ole moniker is the key to a good offense is a good defense, but they don’t score the goals. Or get the ladies. Keepers and defense are predicated on the clean sheet. It is a story as old as time and will never get old. the differentials and variety of starting capabilities are what make defenders, more than goalies the point return parity of the official game. Their prices dictate who and what we have and it steers us in the direction of affordability over form, and the elusive chase for the ever loving clean sheet. with the occasional goal or assist. With the international break finally caput we can get into the goods of fantasy for the next four weeks until the next international break. Womp, womp. So onto the here and now here are the week 8 rankings for the FPl. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
