When the top three scoring forwards for a gameweek are a combined £16.4m in value and put up 25 total points, well then we gotta reevaluate how we are structuring our teams. Clearly goals are coming from more diverse sources, but the likelihood of picking the right one in any given week remains a difficult proposition. Pick your favorite color and run with it, I don’t know – the point is to strengthen your team elsewhere if you are like me and are in shambles in the back and the midfield.

  • I will be getting a cheap 3rd forward over the international break. Lots of options are floating around, and whoever is brought in will need to be a viable bench option for rotations and blanks from other positions.
  • Aguero and Morata both returned 8 this week and easily have the best fixtures of any heavy-hitting forwards through the end of the year.
  • Bill Murray! How long can he keep this up???
  • Return of the Nasty Niasse, he just played his first full 90 and is now on 4 goals in 287 minutes on the season. At £4.9m, I say we start up the free Niasse movement!

  • All hail the King of Mo Town. Now one point shy of Sané for highest scoring player in the game. I hope to keep seeing more essential Mo Town classics like what Salah just did to West Ham.
  • Oxlade-Chamberlain will not mess with my column widths. Ox, consider yourself banished from my tables.
  • Those three Man City midfielders together near the bottom of this week’s table are funny because  their last 4 weeks are as follows: Sterling, 27 points, Silva, 17 pionts, Fernadinho, 27 points. Fernandinho is £5.2m and is absolutely benefitting fromthe ball movement and superior attacking power surrounding him on Man City’s attack. Great cheap option if you don’t already have 3 Man City players and want a quality bench MF.

  • Bravo to the 0.4% of managers that owned Steve Cook and bagged his 15 pointer. Kudos to you as well, Mr. 0.1% ownership of Scott Malone on Huddersfield. Alas, ownership for our favorite Gonad hater, Florent Hadergjonaj, remains at 0.0% :´(
    • Picking out Clean Sheets remains a crap shoot. Go cheap and find good rotational defenders to try to have at least 2 or 3 strong defensive fixtures a week, regardless of attacking potential.
  • Danny Rose played a full 90 for the first time in forever and that’s bad news for Ben Davies owners, myself included. Not sure how it will work out, but I would likely avoid the shituation and transfer out.
  • I’d love to believe that Leighton Baines is back and dropping points in the double digits on the reg. Admittedly, Everton’s upcoming fixtures look good enough for a little mini point run, but I still would not touch him or any Everton defensive assets.
  • Love Burnley defenders moving forward: Swansea (H), Arsenal (H), Bournemouth (A), Leicester (A), Watford (H), Stoke (H), Brighton (A) for next 7. Go out, see the world, and get some of that Mee, Lowton, Ward, Tarkowski, or the freakin’ Pope, take your pick!
