Weâre once again giving you our loves and hates for each week in a segment called âStart âEm and Sit âEmâ. You should know the drill, but if you donât, we pick one option from each position.  Pretty cut and dry, and quite simply⊠basic.  It is more based on my feelings and gut approach for the weekâs upcoming and changes from week-to-week.  I look at match-ups and form to formulate my craziness.  Itâs like musical chairs, without all the screaming kids and regretful feeling of loss. So sit back, relax, and have a look at who we would start and sit based on match-ups and value. Itâs Fantasy Premier League Start âEm, Sit âEm, Week 23 (plus a sleeper/under-owned fella that should be owned and isnât.)
Start – Ciaran Clark, Newcastle – I am not saying mortgage the farm and bring in a Toon defender. If they are at least classified as bad, Swansea is worse. back to back cleans makes me feel like they can do it 40% of the time, everytime.
Sit – Ben Mee, Burnley – Yes, Burnley is the better of the teams, but when does a stat become fiction. Palace have 2 plus goals in six of their last seven home games. Once sure. Twice? Ok ,you got me. Six out of seven is as much as a fact as Harry Kane shooting percentage and shots leads to goals.
Contrarian Play – Luke Shaw, Man United – The Valencia injury has opened up some run for the wide side defender. the Potters don’t have anything going on for them in most departments of fantasy right now. United walk this and keep it nice and tidy.
Start – Paul Pogba, Man United – Sort of a lay-up, no duh type pick, but with Lingard leaping him in ownership i feel that he is being overlooked if that’s possible. Fresh off a two assist game and with Lingard being a noticeable entity for opposing defense the middle behind him could open up for PP.
Sit – Sadio Mane, Liverpool – It is no secret who the ‘Pudlians play this week. It is also no coincidence that City neutralizes speed with their overwhelming attack. If you skip around and read out of order, scroll down and what I said about my Forward sit applies here.
Punt Play – Alex Iwobi, Arsenal – No Wilshere, which is a surprise as to how he stayed healthy this long. iwobi should step in and in a favorable offensive matchup. Just hope there isn’t a all night party again for him to use as an excuse.
Start – Andy Carroll, West Ham – Screw the cheeky slate forthcoming, we live in the here and now. The Terriers have one cleans sheet in last 8, and 2 in last 12. Use your noggin, because the man-bun is gonna run wild like Hulkamania at Wrestlemania 2.
Sit – Sergio Aguero, Man City – The world expects there to be goals, and to be honest I do to. just not from the Cityzens talisman. Liverpool is stout at home like a frothy Guinness. Goals will be had, just not expecting the Argentine to be on the right foot tally wise.
Lucky Strike – Cenk Tosun, Everton – The new boy labeled as a “Big Sam striker”. Well that alone doesn’t make my stomach feel less queasy one iota. is definitely fresh as he hasn’t played in 14 calendar days with Besiktas. I am not saying he comes in and sets the world on fire, because technically that is arson, but he will forget about the DCL chase.
