We’re once again giving you our loves and hates for each week in a segment called “Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em”.  You should know the drill, but if you don’t, we pick one option from each position.  Pretty cut and dry, and quite simply… basic.  It is more based on my feelings and gut approach for the week’s upcoming and changes from week-to-week.  I look at match-ups and form to formulate my craziness.  It’s like musical chairs, without all the screaming kids and regretful feeling of loss. So sit back, relax, and have a look at who we would start and sit based on match-ups and value. It’s Fantasy Premier League Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em, Week 21 (plus a sleeper/under-owned fella that should be owned and isn’t.)

StartJoe Gomez, Liverpool – With all the world’s news on Liverpool defenders I figured i would keep it news neutral.  TAA started last week and now as the rotation tells us it is Gomez’s turn.   liverpool are at home and have the best defense metric in Premier at home.  No brainer, just rotation makes him unownable.

SitPhil Jones, Man United – Strictly from an ownership, price and clean sheet chase United center back is a viable fantasy asset.  Not when United have one clean in last 8 games.  Soton doesn’t score the barn doors off anything, but it only takes one and from what we have seen lately from the Devils one is definitely possible.

Contrarian PlayCuco Martina, Everton – Ownership is sparse and that what basically defines the cont play.  Five cleans in last 7 and three in last four.  Once and a while is random but several in several weeks is a pattern.  Jonjoe is getting all the love but Martina is the differential.

StartJesse Lindgard, Man United – Oh Jesse is a friend and you know he’s been a good friend of mine.  But lately something’s changed and it ain’t hard to define.  Jose needs him in the stagnant offense as he give speed up the gut rather than on the wings with Martial/Rashford.  Goal form and point return is better than everyone in FPL not named Kane.

SitEden Hazard, Chelsea – I don’t really care how many consecutive weeks I put him here.  he is almost unownable at his price.  the returns on the 9.0 midfielders is way too much to even look at the 10 plus.  Is possibly the most skilled FPL player to not score consistently.

Punt PlayChristian Atsu, Newcastle – Looked freaking awesome on the attack against Man City, just didn’t get on the stat sheet as a sub.  Newcastle is at best versus a up and down Brighton team.  The Toon may draw his way into a return similar to two weeks ago.

StartRoberto Firmino, Liverpool – No duh.  Is in the conversation as best value in the FPL universe.  No kane means that he is easily in the top 2-3 strikers this week.  Bobby Digital is going to live and in full affect.

SitJamie Vardy, Leicester – The home defense alone could put Jaime in the sit position.  Add in the fact that he hasn’t had a back to back scoring weeks since week 6 and it speaks volumes.  Love the dude in real life and he could date mys siter, just better options available at the striker spot both high and lower in price.

Lucky StrikeTomer Hemed, Brighton – It is hard to pick a strike that isn’t owned universally and than when you find one you pick a guy on a team that averages a goal a game over their last 10.  Not fun.
