This week’s rankings are more of the subtle yet deadly variety.  Why?  Because of the elite fixture that lies ahead this weekend between Liverpool and City.  It is tough to have tons of faith in two teams that are both FPL stalwarts like they are.  They basically neutralize each other on both ends of the pitch.  Liverpool has the best home defense is the league, and City just score anywhere.  City are a top 5 defensive team on the road and Liverpool score more at home.  It is like one hand washing the other this week.  All are still startable options this week as the money, ownership and transfer fees associated with making a one week move based on match-up just doesn’t make too much sense to this guy.  So be heady this week, don’t compound the DGW fiasco from last game week and make it worse and bury yourself further down the well.  So happy transferring this week and enjoy the next two weeks of transfer rumors.  Here are the week 23 rankings for the FPL. Cheers!

Glad to have you back on the regular again Smokey, always enjoy your content. What happened over the festive period? You disappeared quicker than Everton’s summer signings. Speaking of whom I’m curbing my enthusiasm on Mr. Tosun, super pumped at potentially having a legit striker but I’ve been hurt before.

@Von Hayes: Please hold Smokey accountable for his inactions.

Any questions for this upcoming GW Von Hayes?

I like Tosun too, but will wait and see. Might be hard for me to get to Kane + Aguero, so an expensive FWD plus Tosun or Carroll (if healthy) is my current thinking for the upcoming GWs. I´d love it to be the Turk, would be nice to see him play well with Siggy and form some attacking partnership!

Firmino is a wait and see also, at least until next game week after Man shitty

@Von Hayes: glad to be back on a regular scheduled program here for awhile. Holiday season games, one day in between is so hard to get content up before the games kickoff that plus holiday drinking….I’m not 100% on Tosun being the dude right out the gate, but dude is going to play 80% if the games for them moving forward. Everton have the creative pieces around him if he can get on the right side of a cross and create space for himself. I’ll even be so bold in remaining 15 games he scores 6 and has 2 assists.

@Smokey: Yeah I was just messin, very quick turnarounds indeed during that stretch. And thanks @Cafune, My big concerns this week were having Mo and Marko yellow cautions but it looks like they’re gonna go, I’m sitting with Kane and Morata right now but would love to figure out how to get Kun back in and maybe Alonso, but that’s a tall order, I will have 2 transfers next week though. Definitely want to see Tosun play well for a few weeks before I bring him in, thanks for the responses fellas.
