As always, the second post is usually the more awaited of the week. Why? It's the same reason that people love the home run, the touchdown, or the over. It is no different when we start talking about the middies and strikers for the week. We fall in love with the goals and the tallies that come along with them. All just facts. Also a fact is that like always the rankings are always based on price, match-up, form and common sense. So if you disagree... say so. I am here for your service in this FPL game that we all love so much. So enjoy the rankings, long intro's are for squares and for people who don't really have much to say so they make it long winded. Cheers!
What’s going on people of YouTube… Wait a sec. I’m not a Youtuber and this ain’t Youtube. Pearson here with a preview of GW2. Every week I’m going to be rounding up the players and fixtures you should be targeting for your FPL sides, along with all the the information you need to set your team up for the weekend’s fixtures. The Bankers are those teams I believe will be the week’s high scorers. I’ll include a list of the most likely goalscorers here, followed by all the clean sheet odds. Bench Fodder are the teams, and by extension players, unlikely to enjoy a good game week. They’re the ones to avoid or stick on the end of your bench. Finally, the Red Herring is the week’s biggest trap, a player or team I don’t think will deliver, in spite of prevailing opinion. So smash that like button, subscribe if you’re new… goddamit. Feel free to drop a commment below.
New season, same ole Smokey goodness. We’re once again giving you our loves and hates for each week in a segment called “Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em”. You should know the drill, but if you don’t, we pick one option from each position. Pretty cut and dry, and quite simply… basic. It is more based on my feelings and gut approach for the week’s upcoming and changes from week-to-week. I look at match-ups and form to formulate my craziness. It’s like musical chairs, without all the screaming kids and regretful feeling of loss. So sit back, relax, and have a look at who we would start and sit based on match-ups and value. It’s Fantasy Premier League Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em, Week 1 (plus a sleeper/under-owned fella that should be owned and isn’t.)
Now that the Champions League is finished for the week we can jump back on the FPL wagon and take a look at the match-ups that are more pressing in the official game. Unfortunately rotations are going to be a major factor. That and the injury to Paul Pogba. His ownership is too much to look beyond. My advice for him is this. If you have owned him from week one then you can bench for the 2 weeks he most likely misses and not lose anything to your accrued team value. If you only just bought him in the past 2 weeks then you can transfer out and look for some kind of reprieve for fantasy points. But back to the rotation risks. All of Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Arsenal and Everton are all at risk and the rankings will shy away from a few players that either played full 90's or that didn't see the pitch as much. So be heady and keep your ear to the gossip for who will sit and who will play before making a atransfer this week in a trivial yet pivotal game week 5. Enjoy the rankings and good luck. Cheers!
Anyone remember the days of yore when the uproar and hoot-nannying was out of control over his transfer fee. Well if you are a footie fan the Neymar deal with PSG has put that monster under your bed to rest. this year seemed like a perpetual record transfer fee for each team in the Premier...and likely so the market has gone past us and the money with TV and such rules the world. Lost in all of this fuss is that Paul Pogba is a good football player, and a growing to be a better fantasy asset for the Red Devils this year. And they Aren't even done spending on talent to surround the superstars on their team with more superstars. So what can Paul Pogba do for you this year in the official game that he didn't do last year at the glorified nature of his being with all the hype and none of the fantasy booty. His price is cheaper than last year's end price and I am here to learn you something about him for the official game this year. Stay tuned, your midfield will have one locked in starter for week one after the bump. Cheers!
