The last rankings round-up.  The unfortunate things that are really fun and annoying is that they have to come to an unfortunate end.  Way too many unfortunate things there, but for the gist of spitting at soccer it makes last week look like heaven’s sent.  I am still trying to forget it and GW 37 just ended yesterday.  too many negatives don’t equal a positive.  That is why i am thankful that week 38 is finally here so we can move on from our woes and set the record straight with one more good week to go out on a top note.  There is no need to be wordy with an intro this week, we have done this 37 times previous.  To wax poetic would just not be my style as I like it short, sweet, brunette and with a great personality.  Wait, we’re still talking about FPL players…right?  So with out further adieu here are my views on the rankings for week 38.  Good luck, it has been a pleasure bringing you fantasy output this year and I have one more post of usefulness this year.  Cheers!

Doubles rule the FPL world, just like O’Doyle rules the Billy Madison world.  We are here at the ultimate in fantasy weeks, the last double of the year.  Last chance to but through that ton score threshold and capitalize on those chip (whichever you are using).  With 12 teams doubling up it gives us some tough decisions transfer wise.  Who do we use in the forward  position/  How many single game week players do I trust?  If one or two, whom?   All tough questions because there are so many great in form single game week players, but two is still greater than one and 180 minutes trumps 90.  So transfer wisely when it comes to committing to single game week guys, no more than 2 should be gracing your entire roster and one of them is the back-up keeper.  This week’s rankings much like other double game week affairs will be littered with twice the flavor for my love towards weekly returns.  So if you are torn between one guy or the other use my rankings to steer you to the promised land of fantasy points.  Enjoy the week’s games and I’ll see ya tomorrow with the start’s and sit’s.  Cheers!

Now that the double match week is just about kaput, we can get on with brass tax.  The blank week is the the thinking man’s week.  Anyone can pick players with two fixtures and get luck.  When supplies get limited it is where the rubber meets the road.  With only 12 teams to choose players from and some of those negated by awful matchups, cough Swansea…cough cough West Brom.  That leaves 10.  1 big FPL Indians to choose from.  Transfers this week on an individual basis are tough. So if you planned ahead and have that appropriate chips that replaces your entire team for just one week, well now is the time to employ that bad boy.  I wish I could say something more diplomatic and forthcoming about advise this week, but it is pretty obvious who you want.  Just be smart and use a differential or three if at all possible. Here are the rankings for the FPL in week .  Happy chipping, transferring or whatever mode of transportation you take to get to the endline this week.  Cheers!

Everyone remember that old Nintendo game, Double Dribble.  Well that is what the FPL is offering up this week the Doubles that are causing us to all dribble with drool.  The options are abundant, and set up nicely for chips…granted you have set yourself up that way. Rankings for double game weeks are fairly easy and I will explain my thinking on this process.  If a double game week player plays the minimum amount of minutes and gets the basic 2 point return (no clean sheet, no cards etc) he will get two games of that for a total of 4 points.  Stupid math explanations are awful i reading but stay with me.  The single gameweek player will get only 2 pints for just minimal returns in his single match.  So from a gambling standpoint would you rather have a player who plays two games to actually give you fantasy returns as compared to just one?  the answer is only the two match player.  The further you get down in the rankings the better the return odds for the star players but for the most part the two match player always wins.  it’s like old maid but with football boots and kits instead.  So here are the FPl rankings for matchweek 34, the week we have been pining for since we started to know that doubles existed.  Good luck and happy chipping and transferring. Cheers!

It feels like the week before black Friday around holiday time.  All these useful pieces staring us in the face and we are firmly looking beyond that to when we can get two for one sales.  So with only 10 shopping days left til the double transferring smart rather than with your gut is the best strategy.  Now that the possibility exists of a Mo Salah injury it throws a monkey wrench in to the best laid plans of FPL men.  Do you stick or twist?  As we wait for the news to come out the rankings here reflect a tentative idea of who will do well this week,  the not so well aren’t listed because we are only interested in the cream of the crop.  The Derby weekend is here so get ready for some preemptive double game week love as we jump two feet into game week 33 of the FPL.  Cheers!

The things associated with this week all have curious ties to the number seven …and Liverpool.  So if Liverpool is Snow White than the other dudes this week are the feeble dwarfs.  Seventh seal, Seven deadly sins, Un-Magnificent seven… you get the point yet?  Good cause I was running out of cliche things with 7 in them.  The talk around the FPL universe is whether or not it is advisable to using the free hit chp in order to have a fighting roster of 11 players.  With another blank game week, with better teams to pick and choose from, my answer would be no.  Plus with two doubles on the horizon saving all your chips til a later date seems like the best advice I can give.  Rankings, is the other thing I can do for ya.  Mow your lawn maybe. It is all ‘Pool all week this week as they face a Watford squad that is going to give up some goals whether they like it or not.  So from a only have to choose from 8 teams approach, get to 8 players and concentrate on teh front 5-7 players as the clean sheet looks bleak in most cases.  Here are the week 31 blank week rankings for FPL, happy hunting on transfers.  Cheers!

You hear that drumming in  the distance? That is the upcoming schedule.  Rearing its slow and steady beat and invading your every thought.  Every transfer decision you make from here on out should be with the biggest four weeks on your mind. With 2 blank weeks and 2 doubles in the remainder of the calender, rankings mean only so much to the clearer bigger picture.  Think long and hard about your preparation for those weeks as every player thank blanks that you may own or transfer in reverberates to gameweeks 34, 35 and 37.  So be smart and slow the pace of play a bit and instead of hitting confirm transfer think again about it.  get yourself on a plan of attack for the final 11 weeks of play.  Chips in hand, wildcards to play.  Stack them up against players in your mini league and dominate.  But for those playing it by the seat of their pants here are the week 28 rankings for the FPL.  Good luck and Cheers!

In a week built to attack the lower level squads, I am advising everyone to treat this as a one off week.  Pick guys that help you now.  Whether that be defensive matchups in your favor like Stoke or Swansea.  Or even on the offensive end with Bournemouth and crazy as it may seem Brighton.  The lower level clubs for me are getting a ton of my fantasy eye as we steam roll toward week 28 and the potential for fixture shuffle.  The best part of that is that we will have a full two weeks before the next game week to totally overthink our teams and mess with it six ways til Sunday.  So if you are having a debate in your head for transfers this week, pick the better matchup as you see it on paper.  In form teams right now aren’t the ones you may expect.  If at all possible to go into week 28 with a second free transfer by all means do it because Arsenal and City may be blanking there.  One extra in the bank is better for the heart, mind and fantasy soul.  Enjoy the week 27 fixtures and happy transferring. Cheers!

Another week, another top 6 battle of dueling defenses.  I hate it because the ownability of the Spurs and United players litter the FPL universe.  No, you probably can’t sit them if you are rostering them, but you could brace yourself for a limited point return.  As well as a smaller percentage of a return for a CS.  Lots of mid to lower tabled teams face off against each other and I can see this as a week for teams to sure up their secondary and tertiary defenders.  Look at Leicester’s pieces.  Look at Newcastle.  Look at Stoke.  A few others plus those three have intrinsic value this week and for the next handful of fixtures.  The prices on their most ownable commodities are basically minimal, but so is the expectations of fixture returns.   They aren’t startable every week over the top 4-5 defensive teams but good to have in a pinch when roster’s start to blank, double and tougher clubs face off against each other.  So without much further hoopla here are the rankings for Keepers and Defenders for the FPL week of 25.  Cheers!

As good as the offensive big wigs look this week, and we will get to them tomorrow.  The stoutest of the stout, the purveyors of the clean, the dukes of denial are looking very good this week.  As I stated yesterday the cream is definitely separating themselves from the rest of the field and that doesn’t change on the defensive end of the ball either.  With great match-ups on paper for the better defensive teams, like City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and United the rankings this week will be littered with the likes of those teams integral players.  Better teams better chances for CS results as a probability scale dictates usually.  Don’t get me wrong gambling is good when you don’t have the funds to be a defensive laden team with assets from the top 6 team all at your disposal.  This unfortunately isn’t the case in salary capped leagues where funds become limited, so i will mix in some of my favorite low investment players into the rankings here and there, but for the most part it takes money to earn the CS points this week.  Here are the week 24 FPL keeps and defender rankings.  Good luck and Cheers!
