So we attack the long first break of the year with some Week 4 goodies. As we all know, the basis of any good team is a good defense. Without it, the goal would just be pummeled with shots and no goalie to stop them, making the score infinite. That for the sake of all that is holy doesn’t actually happen, so much like reality, fantasy has to have keepers and defense. they round out every nutritious fantasy breakfast, and if played right can be more prosperous than some striker combinations. For the sake of this week’s match-ups though, the teams with some normal fantasy usefulness are turned into just fodder. I am staring glaringly obviously at the City/Liverpool match which kicks of this week’s action bright an early on Saturday morning. So to start the week yesterday was Transfer ideas and targets and now come the cavalcade of rankings for your viewing pleasure. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
Welcome back all! We have two weeks down in the books, and I’ve provided some insight below into what I saw from a handful players, for better or for worse. Although I wish I could write about every player, remember that while we would to amass all of the players in the Fantasy Premier League universe, we are obligated to field a starting XI from your fifteen-man squad within the constraints of our budget. Hopefully some of these players below will at least be on your radar as you move forward with transfers and potential Wild Cards. Please, blog, may I have some more?
Yikes folks, three-game weeks in 10 days and if you don’t have the need for adult diapers, now may be the time. Excitement personified! This is the last stretch run of games that come in succession like this for the rest of the year, and if you are big proponent of taking a minus and not having it affect you this is the time. I say that because if you simply take a minus a week for the next 3 and set yourself up with one player for the week, and one for the DGW in 34 w/ United, Soton, and Palace… you will be ahead of the game and hold onto that coveted wildcard for the better looking DGW fixtures after Week 34. But what the heck do I know? Enjoy the week. Happy transferring and here are the Week 30 FPL rankings for all positions. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
The whole hub-bub this week will be to take a minus or not. I don’t care what other research of quadratic jargon that you peruse on a daily basis, that is the only question that matters. The quick answer here is do what you think is right by your team in setting yourself up to compete in Week 29. That is the more important question. This week is basically a wash and everyone, and I mean everyone is either working at a disadvantage to get a starting XI, or will take a minus to get there. The run out is more important than a four game slate that features a less then attractive depth solution to this week’s problem. Get your team to 9 and then if you want 10 at a minus 4, go for it. If not, relax, be on top of your team for Week 29 so you can bring in Kane or Costa. You can think about midfield with Hazard and Sanchez and defensively you should be all set and gambling with the guys who get you through Week 28 until you are ready to wildcard. I am no genius in this, it is all common sense. Don’t play follow the leader, play the I own my own FPL team game. Here are the sexy rankings for Week 28. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
I was half waiting for all midweek competitions to be completed, half completely wrapped up in my own life of jet setting. The third half is currently here typing this weeks rankings for all y’all. So with the midweek fixtures that I mentioned, teams like Man United, Leicester, Spurs, Southampton, Arsenal, Man City teams starting XI all come into question. The poor Hammers were already bounced, so sad. Add in the fact that we patiently wait for fitness info on some in game niggles and injuries. So by taking all that in and now factoring it into this weeks FPL match-ups, we have a big ole conundrum of fantasy proportion. Now I would normally just go with my gut and list the usual starting XI as they should appear, but that is laziness and I am way better than that. So sit back, relax, find a comfy porcelain place that you do all your fantasy research and enjoy the Week 5 rankings for all positions. BTW, this is your reminder that there is a Friday game so rosters lock at 1400 PM EST.Please, blog, may I have some more?
This is the first reminder that lineups lock on Friday. So now that you have looked to make sure I am not tripping face and actually am spitting truth. How did everyone do with their week one results? I personally got a tiny bit screwed, but such is life. This fantasy season is a marathon not a sprint. So points to be made up every week. It is way too early to panic and jump in and use your wildcard, I would much rather advise you to take a -4 this week and get the pieces in your line-up that you covet. One thing to also remember is that since the season is still young the fixtures and the teams may not be the way we assume so be smart with your transfers and think longer term then just this week. Here are the week 2 FPL rankings. Please, blog, may I have some more?
Last week’s ranks and this week’s are completely different animals. Last week was basically the entire evolution of an FPL species, this week is just one sub-genus of that animal. It will be broken into 38 parts, this being the first. Biology humor is only funny to about 8-10 people in the entire universe that this post reaches. So if it wasn’t your cup of tea, good I am not a science guy by nature. This week the rankings will be lumped into one segment, on a normal week it will be segmented into 2 parts keepers and defence and midfielders and forwards. Quick week, last minute team building stuff to formulate your final drafts. Which in all honesty, is about 25 for me. You will notice a lot of names missing because some guys are suspended, injured, or just don’t have enough sway for me to take notice in the abbreviated rankings. So limiting them to what the playable minimums are is probably best. Short and simple: we’ll put it to bed and take on Week 2 in due form. So cheers for the read, and spread the word as Razzball FC is in your cranium on a daily basis. Please, blog, may I have some more?
And so it begins… People can write hundreds of articles prepping you and singing the praises of dozens of players. To me, they all scream the same thing: “We are all guessing.” Fantasy footie is one of the true sports that scream beauty and fantasy worthiness is in the eyes of the beholder… that’s you lads. So this week at Razzball, I will be giving you positional breakdowns, starting with keepers today and Forwards by weeks end. I am basing my rankings on a few factors: job security, team as a whole, and value. Match-ups come and go with every changing week, that’s why I give you individually ranked positions every week for the next 40 weeks or so. So get comfy, litter it with your opinion, and here are the preseason rankings as I see it for the upcoming FPL season. Cheers! Oh, and for giggles, I called in some of the industry elite in Kevin Devries @Kevrov ,and usual draft style specialist John Wallin, @Fantasy Gaffer of Togga. Please, blog, may I have some more?
Short week for info, but still, none the less, you get rankings. With Week 34 doubles over and everyone basking in the hondo or above, you scored. And yes, you should have scored a 100 or more. If you didn’t, you either can’t read what I write from week in and week out or your team is dead and it totally reverts back to point number one. This week’s transfer ideas are blah-squared, as you are most likely stuck with what you have or you have to make an emergency transfer or two to either use one of your chips or to just field a roster. Most teams this week will be doing one of two things using their wildcard to fill out their team that they sold out weeks in advance to field a competitive double team, or they will be holding fast and pocketing their transfer for next weeks broader schedule. Either way there is no wrong answer here, because you still have to field a competitive team regardless of how you get there. So stay strong with your three gunners, three Liverpool (though there may be a rotation again) and try and field the best XI possible. So here is the Week 35 rankings, good luck and Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
I think I may have said it before, at least three times that I know of this year, but you don’t score big week in and week out without a quality back-end. J-lo does it, countless other bootylicious famous people are known for having a tidied up posterior. So take that frame of reference, stop surfing the web for pics, and translate that into a fantasy footie perspective. I know it’s such a stretch but, stay with me. Look back through your scores this week, show me one week where you scored in the top 50k scores and it wasn’t because you had at least two of the minimum four starters on defense/keepers that didn’t score six plus points. This isn’t groundbreaking stuff, I usually write about the stuff that people look at and bypass because it’s so ordinary that they deem it as useless. So take that into mind when building for the future double game weeks. Because in reality that is what we are doing with the next five weeks leading up to the last double in Week 37. Anyone added now should have liquid gain for you in the future, unless you have a plab to use your wildcard later than most. So good luck planning for this week and the future but for the here and now let’s look at the rankings for Week 32 of the FPL. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
