The Prem is here, and we can all now rejoice. Now that the season has kicked off, I will be doing my best to fill your Mondays with sweet, fond memories from the games from over the weekend. I also ask for some patience as I work through how to best provide both a summation and meaningful outlook on the matches.

I was hoping to write about all 20 teams for this post, but it started to become lengthy and I started to get sleepy. So, here are my notes over the weekend on Arsenal to Liverpool (alpha order because why not?)…I will hopefully have Man City to West Ham by tomorrow.

This is it folks, last round-up. Finish your pints and kindly please put your stools on top of the tables when you leave. In all seriousness though, it has been a pleasure to drop knowledge on you week in and week out for the FPL. I do it for the love of the beautiful game, you hopefully come for the fresh cold cuts and stay for the light sided humor. Either way you get me, and I hope I at least helped you at least once this year. So cheers for the read. On to the last week, plenty of fixtures that look tasty but how many transfers do we use post DGW and in most cases bench boost. I personally still have my all out attack chip and am on the fence if losing one defender is actually worth the extra attacker. Crazy, but defense is shifty consistent. My advice for this week would be to bring in as viable attackers as possible and let the scoring and the results of what could be a wild Sunday of fixtures. Go down with your guns out, shirt off and get that last yellow card for celebrating. So last and probably not least here are the week 38 FPL rankings. Enjoy!

With time short in both this week and the season, we get right to the meat and potatoes.  Rankings will be fast and furious, as will the fantasy advice.  Two weeks remain in the season and with the double game week this week, it is almost the Mt. Everest of the FPL season.  So my transfer advice will be included in the intro to the rankings this week.  Find a differential if they possibly exist, watch out for possible rotations, and don not bring in anyone with a single game week.  I mean that all sounds simple and well and good from a fan of my writings so heed my advice this week.  Stick to your guns with player favorability, and do not be afraid to take a minus to bring in a DGW player at the expense of a -4.  The rationale behind that is that if a player does nothing but play minute you break even.  So anything they may do, or are expected to do that adds to their point total is money in your bank.  Not really but you get the idea.  So on to the ranks as the games start Friday, and they don’t stop until next Thursday.  Should be fun if you are into the whole soccer/football thing.  Good luck this week.  Cheers!

With the end of the season in sight, it is time to announce that tickets are now on sale for the first annual Razzball pancake breakfast.  It is a bring your own eggs affair.  A dozen is good but the amount of slackers that we have that will attend it is best to bring a dozen and a half.  I will be your DJ in the kitchen cooking up hash browns on the ones and twos.  Not sure if anyone else will be accompanying me in the chef department, if not, so be it. I am used to going at things on my own.  So get pancake hungry y’all!  Now to the lecture at hand, week 36 is here and it gives us a real strategy look at what to do the rest of the way.  Whether you have the WC still at your discretion or not.  Two teams, Arsenal and Southampton have fantasy assets in name only this week as both teams only offer the extra set of fixtures and not the allure.  So don’t go crazy with bringing in hopes and dreams of positive thinking this week and concentrate on Week 37 instead.  But for now stay here enjoy my rankings and hell even stay and leave a comment or three.  Happy transferring.  Cheers!

The conclusion of the third match-week in less than 10 days is always fun for me because it actually allows me to do nothing with my life but rank, write, and then write some more. I do it all for the love people. So the one thing that jumped out to me for this week is that there might be a bit of rotation coming up for a few teams. Most notably Chelsea, and at least for this week, Leicester. Chelsea is basically 2-3 wins away from clinching the league title outright and may just start tinkering with their roster just enough to make it fantasy hell for everyone. So don’t be all surprised when it happens, Uncle Smokey told ya so. The second team is Leicester, who have a more important game in the Champions League coming midweek. Now they seem to be sorta safe from relegation and that tournament is way more important to them right now. Once again, I hope they don’t take Vardy or any useful pieces away, but anything can happen in FPL. Enjoy the Week 32 rankings and comments are always solicited. Cheers!

AHHHH, short weeks ruin stuff like rankings and decision-making.  Well, the skippers of many teams ruin that by rotations and selection conundrums.  That doesn’t even factor into the equation the fitness levels of some high-test fantasy players.  Unfortunately the best strategy is to have a strong enough bench just in case those situations where substitutes come into play.  You don’t need three quality subs, but it doesn’t hurt to say, have two that actually play from week-to-week, that unfortunately gather dust on your bench.  A crisp two points from a player is better then a straight zero.  So think wisely with your main goal in building toward another fast game week set over the weekend and the eventual DGW’s that are coming.  Here are the Fantasy Premier league Rankings for Week 31,  Cheers!

Yikes folks, three-game weeks in 10 days and if you don’t have the need for adult diapers, now may be the time.  Excitement personified!  This is the last stretch run of games that come in succession like this for the rest of the year, and if you are big proponent of taking a minus and not having it affect you this is the time.  I say that because if you simply take a minus a week for the next 3 and set yourself up with one player for the week, and one for the DGW in 34 w/ United, Soton, and Palace… you will be ahead of the game and hold onto that coveted wildcard for the better looking DGW fixtures after Week 34.  But what the heck do I know? Enjoy the week.  Happy transferring and here are the Week 30 FPL rankings for all positions.  Cheers!

I hate the build-up and then let down of the one week play, and then the following week off for International duty. The only thing the extra time creates is itchy trigger fingers, injuries and usually more questions left unanswered then answered. So with Week 29 upon us now, the advice of this advocate is to stay firm, bring in the minimum transfers and go to battle with what you have. The week after is when we attack the WC consideration. We will have a better idea of who plays where and when. So rest on your laurels good friends, and just enjoy this week’s rankings for FPL Week 29. Cheers!

Well, the result that we all were waiting for, City over Huddersfield, now adds to an already strategic plan onto an already over-strategized plan. So the transfer ideas this week are all City front six players, and stay away from the defense because they aren’t the most stoic bunch of clean sheet artists. Or you can go with the cost savings group and invest in Stoke players who also double thanks to the City victory yesterday. Regardless of what you do to your team, taking a minus this week on players that double up is a good idea because even if they get bare minimum returns of two points, you break even just on minutes played. The payoff is if the actually do anything or actually play. So with the DGW in mind here are the rankings for Week 27 in the FPL. Cheers!

Typing the lede into any story is always the hardest. I mean, I wanna sound interesting but not cliche. Cheeky but not corny, and just witty enough to gain your trust. Listen, if I haven’t gained, earned, or warranted your trust after basically ten years in this game, then someone needs to tell me. I mean seriously, an intervention of fantasy proportions is definitely way overdue. So with all that cheeky, witty and interesting stuff out of the way, what else needs to be said besides this weeks rankings? Week 10 rankings for the FPL are here. Enjoy the reads, ranks and wits of wisdom my friends. Good luck in your transfers and thanks for the read. Cheers!
