We’re once again giving you our loves and hates for each week in a segment called “Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em”. You should know the drill, but if you don’t, we pick one option from each position. Pretty cut and dry, and quite simply… basic. It is more based on my feelings and gut approach for the week’s upcoming and changes from week-to-week. I look at match-ups and form to formulate my craziness. It’s like musical chairs, without all the screaming kids and regretful feeling of loss. So sit back, relax, and have a look at who we would start and sit based on match-ups and value. It’s Fantasy Premier League Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em, Week 1 (plus a sleeper/under-owned fella that should be owned and isn’t).Please, blog, may I have some more?
The second phase of our weekly ranking experiment and the controversy of our rankings which weren’t premeditated in anyway rages on. Three separate minds, all warped, yet sharp in their own special way. Or that’s what my grandma told me anyways. Defense to me is all about the secret thing that make your team great from week to week and is my main point of gambling and using my free transfer. I like to gamble, because the allure of that clean sheet is like fantasy crack and I like it. Intervention to follow. Look two games ahead only, I get a kick out of people looking farther then that down the schedule, by that time I will have had 2-3 transfers at my discretion to fix what I thought was broken. Second key thing is find a stud any fantasy defensive stud and ride him for almost ever. Last find a rotation that you like to start the year and stick with it for at least 4-5 games. Like I just said, you can tinker here and there and the dreaded -4 looks better in the beginning of the year a rather then the end. Here are the rankings, commentary brought by myself and Kevin Devries as well John Wallin of playtogga, the hippest and coolest draft style fantasy footie out there today…Please, blog, may I have some more?
I think I may have said it before, at least three times that I know of this year, but you don’t score big week in and week out without a quality back-end. J-lo does it, countless other bootylicious famous people are known for having a tidied up posterior. So take that frame of reference, stop surfing the web for pics, and translate that into a fantasy footie perspective. I know it’s such a stretch but, stay with me. Look back through your scores this week, show me one week where you scored in the top 50k scores and it wasn’t because you had at least two of the minimum four starters on defense/keepers that didn’t score six plus points. This isn’t groundbreaking stuff, I usually write about the stuff that people look at and bypass because it’s so ordinary that they deem it as useless. So take that into mind when building for the future double game weeks. Because in reality that is what we are doing with the next five weeks leading up to the last double in Week 37. Anyone added now should have liquid gain for you in the future, unless you have a plab to use your wildcard later than most. So good luck planning for this week and the future but for the here and now let’s look at the rankings for Week 32 of the FPL. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
Real actual players, is this a dream or is this reality. I have been entrenched in straight baseball with a mix of footie for the better part of 10 days and didn’t know whether you kicked a baseball or hit a soccer ball with a bat. This week has the delightful double match week, well sort of. From a fantasy perspective, well defense wise it looks like it is a crap shoot at best. Do you know who wins when you throw crap? The person who doesn’t actually have to touch the crap. Hence why my recommendations this week are to steer clear of the 2 match games this week for both Villa and the QPR. Their are plenty of better options out there and good match-ups abound for the top 5 season scoring leaders, so I would exploit the hierarchy of the defensive corps. Just makes too much sense. Using the shaky defenses of Villa and QPR might net you 2 points as I don’t see any of the 4 games they both play ending in zeroes. Enjoy the week to come, as always more to come this week. Rankings, start/sit advice, free balloon animals for the kids. You know that general good natured type stuff. CheersPlease, blog, may I have some more?
