The DGW makes rankings seem like a person who has a stutter. Every third guy is from the same team, and are basically only enticing because of the extra fixture. This week, that is not the case. The fixtures are bordering on blah and the options to gain fantasy aptitude are limited. Yea the Palace players seem interesting and then you realize their opponents. Then you move onto United and realize that, who do you really trust there? Then you have Middlesbrough who’s favorite soccer stylings seems to be stuck in neutral. Not very appealing my friends, like I said. The best case scenario for the week is to take a minimum hit transfer wise and bring in the usual DGW faces that you hear about all over the inter-webs, and of course use some of that good ole common sense. So good luck with transfer ideas and enjoy some DGW rankings for week 34 of the FPL. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
The conclusion of the third match-week in less than 10 days is always fun for me because it actually allows me to do nothing with my life but rank, write, and then write some more. I do it all for the love people. So the one thing that jumped out to me for this week is that there might be a bit of rotation coming up for a few teams. Most notably Chelsea, and at least for this week, Leicester. Chelsea is basically 2-3 wins away from clinching the league title outright and may just start tinkering with their roster just enough to make it fantasy hell for everyone. So don’t be all surprised when it happens, Uncle Smokey told ya so. The second team is Leicester, who have a more important game in the Champions League coming midweek. Now they seem to be sorta safe from relegation and that tournament is way more important to them right now. Once again, I hope they don’t take Vardy or any useful pieces away, but anything can happen in FPL. Enjoy the Week 32 rankings and comments are always solicited. AHHHH, short weeks ruin stuff like rankings and decision-making. Well, the skippers of many teams ruin that by rotations and selection conundrums. That doesn’t even factor into the equation the fitness levels of some high-test fantasy players. Unfortunately the best strategy is to have a strong enough bench just in case those situations where substitutes come into play. You don’t need three quality subs, but it doesn’t hurt to say, have two that actually play from week-to-week, that unfortunately gather dust on your bench. A crisp two points from a player is better then a straight zero. So think wisely with your main goal in building toward another fast game week set over the weekend and the eventual DGW’s that are coming. Here are the Fantasy Premier league Rankings for Week 31, Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
Yikes folks, three-game weeks in 10 days and if you don’t have the need for adult diapers, now may be the time. Excitement personified! This is the last stretch run of games that come in succession like this for the rest of the year, and if you are big proponent of taking a minus and not having it affect you this is the time. I say that because if you simply take a minus a week for the next 3 and set yourself up with one player for the week, and one for the DGW in 34 w/ United, Soton, and Palace… you will be ahead of the game and hold onto that coveted wildcard for the better looking DGW fixtures after Week 34. But what the heck do I know? Enjoy the week. Happy transferring and here are the Week 30 FPL rankings for all positions. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
Now that the back-enders are out of the way for Week 29, we can get down to the meat, potatoes and goal scorers. The quintessential fantasy meal. Getting the right set-up for midfielders is a lot harder than getting the forward ones correct right now. The options are seemingly endless, and given the shape, health and suspension levels going on in the forward ranks it is hard to get that right set for now and for the upcoming weeks. So play for now, grab for form, screw fixture through the middle. As far as the strikers go, it is kinda of weeded out for you through attrition really. With Kane and Ibra gone, it makes the forward ranks Lukaku, Costa, Manolo and maybe a roll of the dice with Sergio. Well, if you came for advice and ranks you came to the right place. Keep reading for the Week 29 Middies and Forward ranks. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
Well, the result that we all were waiting for, City over Huddersfield, now adds to an already strategic plan onto an already over-strategized plan. So the transfer ideas this week are all City front six players, and stay away from the defense because they aren’t the most stoic bunch of clean sheet artists. Or you can go with the cost savings group and invest in Stoke players who also double thanks to the City victory yesterday. Regardless of what you do to your team, taking a minus this week on players that double up is a good idea because even if they get bare minimum returns of two points, you break even just on minutes played. The payoff is if the actually do anything or actually play. So with the DGW in mind here are the rankings for Week 27 in the FPL. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
The calm before the blank week storm is upon us. Soon after this week we will determine most of our course for the next few weeks, as the FA cup will dictate the upcoming fixtures in Week 28 and so on. Let us not get too far ahead of ourselves and concentrate on this week’s tasty fixtures and the fantasy appeal that they offer. Week 25 is a key point in the yearm and if you don’t have to make a transfer and can go into Week 26 with two, then by all means, do so. Keep that WC in your top pocket and trudge forward into fantasy glory. Here are the Week 25 rankings for the official game. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
In a perfect world, I could drop these on you last minute, right before gametime kick-off,s and have them be just as effective. Unfortunately, we can’t do that because the FA Cup fixtures get in the way and mess things. So posting the rankings pre-FA Cup is a dangerous and possibly a worthless venture, but I am doing it anyways. Take in mind that the games over this weekend will impact what happens in the FPL fixture on Tuesday and Wednesday. Injuries, new transfers and just plain bad luck do happen. I mean, I just finished my weather controlling device, so now my attention will turn to the prediction of all things fantasy. So take these with a grain of salt, and use some common sense when it comes time to use your transfers. Waiting is usually the best advice. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
When is being too offensive too offensive? This is fantasy, so anything goes really. I mean, the term fantasy and play goes as far as to include Magic the Gathering and D&D. So with loose terms come loose terminology. I read that on a fortune cookie the other day. So make fun of the machine that wrote that, not me. But is stacking your offense too much off a good thing? I say hell no! However, if you wanna spend your allotted money, be my guest. This week sees four of the top fantasy producing teams; Arsenal, United, Chelsea and Liverpool, all with favorable fixtures that are most certainly (or we hope) to give some fantasy goodness. So with thinking positive thoughts and some luck for all, here are the Week 22 Fantasy Premier League Rankings. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
To follow on yesterday’s post of keepers and defense, today’s post is about the guys who stuff the stat-sheet with more frequency. It is basically like a Sizzler buffet, but imagine your plate is a soccer ball and you can only eat with your feet. Weird, I know, but in some cultures feet are worshiped more than cows. Just sayin’, there are some weird and freaky people out there and usually a category on your favorite adult site of preference. Where was I… Oh, Week 21 midfielders and forward rankings. I tend to wander in thoughts, it is a mix of ADHD and my propensity to just be bored to death with normal conversation. So, now that we are back on course this week has some tasty fixtures for the big guns of fantasy. Yeah, I am staring at the Gunners squarely in the face as they face a lowly Swansea team that is last in the FPL world in defense. The only bad thing this week is when two big guns face off in United and Liverpool. A big game by stature, but it usually casts a strange shadow over the fantasy world. It is unfortunate, but it’s the truth. The trust level in guys tends to wane a bit and it stinks because both teams are the goods from a tally for stars standpoint. So with all that in mind let’s jump into the rankings. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
