No need to break ’em up this week, as we are in a hurry.  So you get all the rankings, all in one handy dandy Swiss Army knife type useful thing-a-majiggy.  I know that’s not a word, but spell your ambitions for a bit and just enjoy the rankings as they are.  If you wanted word-smithing, you would go to a more proper site that likes to stick it’s pinky out.  Though in fairness, those are the same guys, who two weeks after I call out a guy, they make a proclamation of their own and endlessly promote themselves as genius.  Well congrats, to them and their vanity.  Pfffft.  So enough with the side-winding talk and the endless barrage of non-information.  Here is the Week 22 Rankings for the FPL.

Keepers:

  1. Hugo Lloris, Spurs
  2. Heurelho Gomes, Watford
  3. Kasper Schmeichel, Leicester
  4. Adrian, West Ham
  5. Thibaut Courtois, Chelsea
  6. David De Gea, Man United
  7. Peter Cech, Arsenal
  8. Joe Hart, Man City
  9. Declan Rudd, Norwich
  10. Fraser Forster, Southampton
  11. Artur Boruc, Bournemouth
  12. Jack Butland, Stoke
  • Joe Hart is a sneaky sleeper, as Palace hasn’t found the net since Bolasie went out with injury.  Its over 350 minutes and counting.
  • Forster may or not be the guy, so waiting is clutch as he could be a good number two option
  • Poor Jack gets a tough match-up and my overall top keeper is left carrying luggage this week.  If you have a usable back-up, this is the week to give it a whirl.

Defence:

  1. Toby Alderweireld, Spurs
  2. Hector Bellerin, Arsenal
  3. Branislav Ivanovic, Chelsea
  4. Aleksandar Kolarov, Man City
  5. Christian Fuchs, Leicester
  6. Aaron Cresswell, West Ham
  7. Bacary Sagna, Man City
  8. Chris Smalling, Man United
  9. Cesar Azplicueta, Chelsea
  10. Kyle Walker, Spurs
  11. Danny Simpson, Leicester
  12. Scott Dann, Crystal Palace
  13. Allan Nyom, Watford
  14. Laurent Koscielny, Arsenal
  15. Ryan Bertrand, Southampton
  16. Ashley Williams, Swansea
  17. Eric Dier, Spurs
  18. Glen Johnson, Stoke
  19. Jonny Evans, West Brom
  20. James Collins, West Ham
  21. Jose Fonte, Southampton
  22. Robert Huth, Leicester
  • Now the Fix are being noticed,  I only mentioned them about a month ago.  Three ranked out of 20 with a favorable fixture vs. Villa.
  • The Chelsea defense duo is back, you need to own at least one.  Save money and roster Cesar.
  • Love Dann, just not for this week
  • West Ham is becoming a team to own defensibly.  Cresswell maybe the best defender in FPL.

Midfielders:

  1. Dimitri Payet, West Ham
  2. Riyad Mahrez, Leicester
  3. Mesut Ozil, Arsenal
  4. Kevin De Bruyne, Man City
  5. Andre Ayew, Swansea
  6. Marco Arnautovic, Stoke
  7. Dele Alli, Spurs
  8. Georginio Wijnaldum, Newcastle
  9. Willian, Chelsea
  10. Gylfi Sigurdsson, Swansea
  11. Michail Antonio, West Ham
  12. Ross Barkley, Everton
  13. Roberto Firmino, Liverpool
  14. Aaron Ramsey, Arsenal
  15. Sadio Mane, Southampton
  16. Christian Eriksen, Spurs
  17. Yaya Toure, Man City
  18. Alexander Tettey, Norwich
  19. Dusan Tadic, Southampton
  20. Jonny Howson, Norwich
  • I am so bleech on the City midfielders that they are basically counter-productive to themselves.  KDB is the only real ownable guy, as everyone should own him.  The rest are just gambles at this point.
  • I kinda love the Norwich guys this week, and its probably more of a DFS play then a transfer in and play.
  • I think Southampton showed a little testicular fortitude last week and the rankings of Mane and Tadic are the first in a few game weeks.
  • I am super high on Ayew from his showing last week, as basically the false nine for a man down Swans side.

Forwards:

  1. Harry Kane, Spurs
  2. Sergio Aguero, Man City
  3. Jamie Vardy, Leicester
  4. Olivier Giroud, Arsenal
  5. Odion Ighalo, Watford
  6. Romelu Lukaku, Everton
  7. Enner Valencia, West Ham
  8. Diego Costa, Chelsea
  9. Wayne Rooney, Man United
  10. Jermaine Defoe, Sunderland
  11. Troy Deeney, Watford
  • Is Wayne back?  Well transfer him in and let me know how it rates out for ya.
  • Valencia is the top gunner for me in the Hammers attack now with Carroll on the mend.  The pieces around him are way to in form for something good not to happen.
  • If not now for Aguero… when?  Owners will be itching to dump again.  Best news is that it is easier to get rid of him from your team then try and fit him in.  One more week is the advice du jour…

I’m back home boy fix my ish!

    Butland (Hennessey)
Moreno – Alderweireld – Bellerin – Cedric (Simpson)
Mahrez – Mane – Silva – KDB (Deulofeu)
    Vardy – Kane (Ighalo)

2 freebies and $2.9 in the bank.

in 2 weeks I could have:
    Kane -> Aguero
    Mane -> Ayew
    Silva -> Payet
    Deulofeu -> Firmino

with still .5 left over. thoughts?

@SheriffMcRawDawg: Payet for Silva would be my first move to make. After that address the forward spot. Keep Kane for another week. Use the money savesd and go from Vardy to Giroud. I wouldn’t jump on the Aguero train just yet, as fast as you get on, you may have to get off unfortuantely. Defence Moreno is blah squared add Cresswell or Fuchs. Hope that helps. Glad you are back and alive I will call off the search party.

        @Smokey: don’t call it a comeback!

While he may be a sound choice, I can’t ever have Giroud on the squad as long as I live; I’m glad my boys pulled out the 3-3 draw the other day against the goonads… tho we should’ve won and not leaked in a couple terrible goals.

Was actually back in Liverpool over Christmas man – got to hit up Anfield for the 1-0 Leicester game, and then went with the Evertonian contingent of the fam to Goodison for the 4-3 Stoke loss. absolute blast

what are your feelings on Firmino going forward?

@SheriffMcRawDawg: Like Firmino, don’t love. He is better in other formats DFS and draft styles, but with the success of middies in this format I don’t see a fit on a lot of teams based on his price but thats just me. Nice on the trip, thanks for the invite jerk
