As always, the second post is usually the more awaited of the week. Why? It’s the same reason that people love the home run, the touchdown, or the over. It is no different when we start talking about the middies and strikers for the week. We fall in love with the goals and the tallies that come along with them. All just facts. Also a fact is that like always the rankings are always based on price, match-up, form and common sense. So if you disagree… say so. I am here for your service in this FPL game that we all love so much. So enjoy the rankings, long intro’s are for squares and for people who don’t really have much to say so they make it long winded. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
It’s Tuesday. It means knee jerk reactions and total punting for Week 2 of the FPL season. I am truly only half-kidding, but people involved in the chase gonna chase regardless. Especially with the first few price changes in the books already. Everyone wants that shiny new bargain toy for a penny cheaper then they just had it. So with the first Transfer Tuesday post of the year, Smokey is here to guide you down the trail of transfer ideas that may be a little off beat or because I am seeing something that you didn’t. Four eyes are better than two, especially when people who are making transfers this early in the week, and making the market climb on a Tuesday. I don’t get it, but people get nervous and make irrational decisions, messing it up for everyone else. So while we live the rational transfer life, here are some transfer ideas for maybe a few days down the road to set yourself up for next week’s set of matches. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
We’re once again giving you our loves and hates for each week in a segment called “Start ‘Em and Sit ‘Em”. You should know the drill, but if you don’t, we pick one option from each position. Pretty cut and dry, and quite simply… basic. It is more based on my feelings and gut approach for the week’s upcoming and changes from week-to-week. I look at match-ups and form to formulate my craziness. It’s like musical chairs, without all the screaming kids and regretful feeling of loss. So sit back, relax, and have a look at who we would start and sit based on match-ups and value. It’s Fantasy Premier League Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em, Week 1 (plus a sleeper/under-owned fella that should be owned and isn’t).Please, blog, may I have some more?
If you enjoyed yesterday’s salad and appetizer courses, then you will love today’s main course and dessert. I realize you can’t get anywheres in the official game without having a nodded on choice at keeper and a stellar yet filled with differential based defense. But the real fun in building your roster is comprising it with as many affordable stars through the middle of the pitch and up top. So just like yesterday’s rankings I mix in price, match and some good ole common sense. The form comes later because after all this is just week one of a long journey my friends. Some great matches are on the table for a lot of star players, so here’s hoping you can squeeze as many of them in as possible. So just in case you needed a guiding hand here is week 1 of the FPL season rankings for Middies and Strikers. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
When perusing the the list and prices of forwards, it is easy to wanna shop exclusively at the posh department stores. But the prices of them will limit the ability to have more than two. Is two enough, sure, but when isn’t three the magic number? They allow you to roster three, so why not take full advantage of what they are giving you and add that to your fantasy tool belt? With the entire world rostering or having their hand in on Lukaku (48% owned) at £11.5, Kane (35% owned) at £11.5, and Lacazette (17.6% owned) at £10.5. Those are the three highest-priced and owned strikers in the official game. With the numbers of fantasy entries into the fantasy jambalaya where do we find differentials and better yet where do we find players on a budget. So where are the extras shekels being scraped together for a useful yet intrinsically awesome third striker with differential appeal. I will tell you where you can find some ideas on this. This post. You got this far into the intro to quit now, so you might as well sit back relax and enjoy the bellowing words of usefulness. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
Wednesdays from now on are the day when we let nothing hide between friends. It is fairly simple: I will show you my team for the next three Wednesday’s leading up to the start of the season. I do expect that if you read this and that, you’ll do the exact same thing, because two heads are better than one, and 10 is even better. Get it? Cool. So this is draft number six on the year for me so far, the others were more fiddling out of boredom, but now we are starting to see news out and about pertaining to certain teams formations, transfers, and injury updates. So enjoy this early look at Smokey’s team and critique away, because I prolly deserve to be slandered for my thoughts and team selection. Cheers! Please, blog, may I have some more?
